| David & Rusty: This duet is made of Gospel Singing Ventriloquist David Mac Meeken, and his small witty wooden partner, Rusty. In 1965, David & Rusty presented their very first concert. David & Rusty, do between 165 to 195 dates a year, and travel full-time with David’s wife, Jill in their self-contained Motorcoach/Bus throughout the southeastern part of the United States, they have brought a lot of laughter to audiences across America through their personal appearances in Churches of all denominations as well as at Retreats, Gospel Concerts, Theme Parks, Dinner Shows, Campgrounds and on Television and Radio, as they share the good news that Christ is the answer. |
| David & Rusty, along with Christian Humor, Stories from the Bible, and Traditional/Southern Gospel style singing, make for the most enjoyable evening for the whole family found anywhere in the South. Whether they have an audience of 50 people or thousands, they are right at home, warm, professional and above all Christ centered and Christ like. David, along with Rusty is a major league player with the warmth of a small town boy. They have ministered and shared the stage with such notables as: Gold City, The Florida Boys, The Dixie Echoes, Naomi & The Segos, The Freemans, The Lesters, Blue Ridge, etc . . . They have also hosted the F.G.M.A. Quartet Convention, Christian Cruises and other major events. David, as a ventriloquist and singer is unequaled in his field. He is one of the finest professional ventriloquists today. David & Rusty have been honored to receive a number of prestigious awards. Gospel music fans voted them as “Christian Humorist Of The Year seven years straight” at the annual Gospel Post Fan Awards. In 2005 they were inducted into their “Gospel Music Hall of Fame”. David & Rusty also were featured as one of the discoveries in the Magazine: “Florida’s Top 100 Discoveries”. David has recorded nine (9) albums, and seven (7) DVD videos with Rusty. Having traveled 34 years, and ministered in 20 states, David has gained the love and respect of many people who have been touched by this ministry. David’s goal is to reach out across denominations, and share the joy that reaches into the hearts of people. To the Christian who may be discouraged, that message is one of hope and to the one who does not know the Savior; the message is salvation. David cannot improve or renovate the Gospel message; but through Rusty as a tool, he can communicate the GOOD NEWS in a manner that will not be soon forgotten.
