David & Rusty's Newsletter
January & February 2012
Happy New Year everybody, welcome to 2012!   It’s hard to believe that 2011 is gone.
Where did the year go?   For us time flies when you have travel 20,000 miles in a years
time.   This past year brought some wonderful memories for Jill and me, as we Praise the
Lord for those who gave their heart and life to our Savior, Jesus Christ this past year!!!

Funny Moments on the Road

A lot of funny things happen on the road, and one of those funny moments happened while
we were at a Church in Leesburg, Georgia.    True Story:  We always arrive two hours early
to set up our sound, as was the case here.   I had pulled out all of our sound equipment
onto the Church yard; Rusty’s suitcase was last to unload.  As I pulled his suitcase out I
noticed right off that it was covered with fire ants.   Opening the suitcase I discovered that
Rusty had hundreds of these fire ants crawling all over him.   Well I had to clean up this
mess before taking him into the Church.   So I took Rusty out of his suitcase, and began
shaking him all over the Church yard in hopes of getting rid of those fire ants.   What I didn’
t realize was I had an audience across the street with the neighbors sitting on their front
porch just a watching; what looked to them as a big 300 pound man abusing a little boy.
The lady on the porch went to hollering “Hey, stop that.”   I thought she was hollering at
the dog or her grandkids.   Now I had to get those ants off of this little wooden dummy
before the service.   So I kept at it, then I realized the ants were in his clothing too so I
started taking his clothes off.   That did it, the neighbor lady cut herself a switch off a
nearby tree and started my way just a hollering.

About that time I pulled off his head to get the ants out of his head, the poor old lady let
out one last scream before passing out in the Church yard.    Then she sat up took a good
look at me returning Rusty’s head to his body, then she turned around and said to her
husband,  “Forget it Elmer, he’s just playing with a doll!”

February is the month of Love, so let me wish my beautiful wife Jill a Happy Valentine’s
Day!   Also the month of February Sister Jill and I share the same birth date.  February
16th, I turn 54 and Sister Jill, says: “29 every time that’s my motto!”  LOL   Happy Birthday
Jill – I Love You, David.

I would like to close our newsletter with this thought:

If He knows when a robin falls from its nest, and He grieves when He see it die;  if He
kisses the rose with the morning mist, How much more does He love you and I?

If He’ll take out the time and turn a desert from its dry, and He’ll carve out a river to the sea;
just to give a little fish one more place he can swim, How much more does He love you
and me?
  Think about it!

Love and Prayers,

David, Jill and Rusty
